Very good if you're in the area it is a must stop .. Great pastries and breads .. They need a flag out front.i have been passing by and never noticed for 4 years. Lol

Heard lots of great things about Bistro dupain - but the receptive l experience was even better. Got several things and they were all amazing! Kids loved their treats and I enjoyed the more savory options. If I was not meeting my husband for lunch, I would have happily dined there. Highly recommend!

Transplanted from Erin ON, the food continues to be the genuine article. This is real French bread and pastry. When you enter the shop, you are hit with the aroma of butter. The gazpacho soup was flavourful and spicy, the croque monsieur was what grilled cheese hopes to become. The pastries are worth the trip, and the bread was fabulous. If you are up by Shelbourne it is definitely worth a visit.

Bistro DuPain is an absolute delight. From the moment you step inside, you're wrapped in the comforting scent of fresh-baked bread and rich coffee—it's like walking into a warm hug. The atmosphere is charming and relaxed, with just the right touch of European flair. The menu is a dream for food lovers, especially those with dietary needs. Their gluten-free options are plentiful and thoughtfully prepared—not just an afterthought. Whether you're indulging in a flaky almond croissant or savoring a hearty quiche, everything tastes homemade and full of love. Coffee lovers, rejoice! Their brews are bold, smooth, and served with care. Whether you're grabbing a quick cappuccino or lingering over a latte with friends, it's the kind of place that invites you to slow down and enjoy. Service is friendly and attentive, and the staff genuinely goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. Bistro DuPain isn’t just a café—it’s a community staple that makes every visit feel special. Highly recommend for anyone seeking delicious food, great coffee, and a cozy spot that caters to all.

1st visit, wow. Awesome selection of sweets. Reminds me of the treats I saw at the DisneyWorld France Pavillion. Tried a Rocher today it was excellent. Can’t wait to visit again and try something different.

We ordered some Baguette the other day and they where flat, no way you could cut them horizontally. We've bought them in the past and they were one of the better Baguettes. Unfortunately we didn't check them until we got home. Had to drive back and return them as we couldn't use them like a regular Baguette. Their response was "it happens" and just gave us a refund, no sorry. They shouldn’t be selling them if they have a sub par day just tell customer we are sold out. Was disappointed.

Coffee: good, barristas make decent coffee, sometimes overheat the milk and coffee scalds you a bit, but let it sit a few minutes and it's fine. Croissants: ok, nothing really special, but not terrible either bread: awful - this is not french bread compared to any other french bakery in the GTA like say Jules Patisserie or Rahier for example. The bread literally gets hard within a couple of hours when you get it home and is more of a club the next day. Maybe they sell older stale bread first and i'm unlucky and always get the same? Service: good, team at the desk is fast and capable for sure best thing they sell: baguette sandwiches which is ironic cause the bread they sell by the load is rock hard to eat most times. But, the little baguettes like tuna salad or chicken salad or the classic ham/brie are delicious. Just wish they would really learn to make proper french style croissants and bread then this would be a killer place to get your french patisserie fix on. Can the bakers take a trip to Jules or Rahier please and see what you could be making?
